Moscow City Day-2017 on September 9 and 10 will be widely celebrated in the squares and streets of the capital. Moscow celebrates 870th birthday. And this means that for Muscovites and guests of the capital on City Day prepared a large number of bright, large-scale and free entertainment.
The organizers promise that the program of events for Moscow City Day will be unprecedentedly rich, it will be difficult to choose from all the variety where to go and what to see, because each event will be unique and interesting in its own way.
A whole system of festive decorations will set the mood for all Muscovites and visitors. More than 270 art objects will be installed at different points to decorate Moscow for City Day. During the festival "Jubilee of Moscow - 870" sites throughout the city will talk about the outstanding achievements, discoveries and inventions of Muscovites.
The brightest during the City Day of Moscow-2017 will be fireworks. In the sky over the capital on September 9 peonies, chrysanthemums, snakes, hearts, shimmering figures and other colorful drawings will light up. And over the Raushskaya embankment, Victory Park and Brateevsky Park, the number 870 will be released from fireworks.
In total, 13,260 volleys will sound over the city from 13 points located on city squares and embankments, as well as in Moscow parks. To start the fireworks, the optimal time was chosen, convenient for the townspeople - at 21.00, - they said in the Moscow City Hall.
Simultaneously with the launch of fireworks, three-meter pyrotechnic panels with the number 870 will be lit. In 2017, Moscow City Day in Gorky Park will have an extensive program of events. On September 9, the central theme of the holiday will be cinema. Melodies from films will sound on the main stage, the square near the fountain will turn into a film set. There will be a film school and a cartoon workshop for children. One of the central events will be the play "Legends of the Wind" by the French street theater Remue Menage.
