People with healthy teeth do not understand the difference when using the following products, although there is a difference, and a significant one. The point is to change the system of approach and the formula of oral hygiene products.

For about five months I have been actively interested in this topic, as for me it has become just a salvation and solution to many of my dental problems.

At first, I actively studied all the information available to my mind about a new element for me - hydroxyapatite. First of all, I found out that:

Hydroxylapatite (hydroxyapatite)- mineral Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 from the apatite group, hydroxyl analogue of fluorapatite and chlorapatite. It is the main mineral component of bones (about 50% of the total bone mass) and teeth (96% in enamel). In medicine, synthetic hydroxyapatite is used as a filler that replaces parts of the lost bone (in traumatology and orthopedics, hand surgery), and as an implant coating that promotes the growth of new bone. In dentistry, hydroxyapatite is used in toothpastes as an element that remineralizes and strengthens tooth enamel.

Some people mistakenly believe that hydroxyapatite treats existing caries, however, this is a misconception. Tools with this component help prevent caries or help at a very early stage, preventing caries-bearing bacteria from destroying the hard tissues of the tooth. Indeed, the occurrence of dental caries is associated with a local change in pH on the surface of the tooth under plaque due to the fermentation of carbohydrates carried out by microorganisms and the formation of organic acids. In general, the Japanese did their best to make oral hygiene especially effective and safe.

A little external description.

A blister with a miniature looks very nice, but all the information on it is conveyed in hieroglyphs, in which I am not strong.

The paste itself is white, quite homogeneous, slightly loose. It is distributed very well over the surface of the teeth, so not much is required for one cleaning session (especially if you need to save consumption). The recommendations indicate a dose of 1.0 - 1.5 cm, but I gained a little less. That was enough for an electric toothbrush.

Brush your teeth for 3 minutes. Swallowing is not recommended.

The paste has a neutral sweetish taste, without particularly bright mint innuendos. I like it. Of course, there is no bright freshness in the mouth after brushing, but thanks to the quality of the paste, breathing is easy and the sensations in the mouth are very comfortable.

Foams well, no bubbles.

As for my personal feelings, I noticed a slight whitening (by about one tone), but a couple of weeks is not enough for a full-fledged result. My dentary bone is not very amenable to intense lightening, so even this effect pleased me. In addition to a lighter tone, thanks to the remineralization of the enamel, the teeth feel very smooth and look shiny. They do not accumulate plaque.

Since the Japanese paste came to me later than everyone else, in fairness, I must say that I approached it in very good condition, since I had used other hydroxyapatite pastes for several months before that. Also, fans of the products of this manufacturer will be invited to try the Splat Junior toothpaste, which is designed for babies under 4 years old. Children will certainly enjoy the soft creamy taste with hints of vanilla, but parents should pay attention to the composition. Thus, the enzyme complex prevents the development of inflammatory processes in the child's oral cavity. Aloe gel helps relieve unpleasant symptoms during teething. A pleasant moment is the presence of a silicone brush in the kit, which is put on the finger.

Nevertheless, such a component as calcis causes some misunderstanding. Given that such a compound does not exist, we can say that this is nothing more than a commercial name for one of the common substances. At the same time, without knowing which compound is used in the paste, it is impossible to say with accuracy how it affects the enamel.

Paste without fluorine "Rocks"

Toothpaste "Rocks" is another achievement of the domestic industry. The price of this tool is more than 200 rubles. Having studied the composition, it is worth highlighting such active substances as calcium glycerophosphate, bromelain and xylitol. so, the last component is indispensable in the prevention of caries. The total calcium concentration in this paste is significantly lower than that of President Unique paste (see above). Contains xylitol, which has a caries-preventive effect, inhibiting the growth rate of cariogenic microflora and helps to neutralize the acidic environment in the oral cavity.

The composition is not bad, but there is nothing remarkable - in comparison with the pastes above. Plus, the price is too high for such a composition, given the small volume of the tube. It should be noted that the Rocks company produces a lot of toothpastes with the same composition and different names. There are other calcium pastes in their line, but they are exactly the same and contain the same glycerophosphate in a small concentration (site).

Comments: we must pay tribute to the manufacturer - earlier calcium glycerophosphate was used in the production of this paste, now calcium lactate is used. The last component quickly dissociates into ions, releasing active calcium, but this paste does not contain anything else of interest. In addition, a fairly cheap abrasive, calcium carbonate, was used in the paste.

On its website, the manufacturer also positions it as a source of calcium, but in fact, calcium carbonate is an insoluble salt that is not able to dissociate into ions with the release of active calcium. Calcium carbonate can often be found in inexpensive pastes as an abrasive.

The paste contains a high dosage of xylitol, which effectively neutralizes the acid produced by cariogenic bacteria in the mouth. As a result, the paste has a good cariesstatic effect. In addition, the paste, again, does not contain either fluorine or calcium, and therefore will not help strengthen low-mineralized children's tooth enamel.

A noticeable minus is the too high price of this Russian pasta, which is more expensive than all imported pastes with a richer and more interesting composition. We believe that the paste is suitable only for oral hygiene of babies - even before the eruption of the first teeth.
