Hydroxyapatite toothpastes are the easy way to a beautiful smile. Toothpaste with nano-hydroxyapatite in the fight against caries

Hi all!

I follow novelties and new developments not only in decorative and care cosmetics, but also in oral care products.

The latest trend is the use of hydroxyapatite in toothpastes. As a rule, toothpastes containing this component are quite expensive: from 800 to 2000 rubles.

I will tell you about toothpastePresidentsensitiveRDA25 for Sensitive Teeth, which also contains this substance.

Some general information about the product.

The paste is produced in Moscow and comes in a 75 ml tube.

This volume is enough for 1 month when used 2-3 times a day by one person.

which shimmers holographically in the sun, with a white glossy cap.

Manufacturer's description:

Application:

Compound:

Usage:

I brush my teeth in the morning, right after waking up, after breakfast, in the evening and sometimes during the day.

I squeeze 1-1.5 cm of paste onto the brush.

My teeth: sensitive, fragile, thin enamel, there are microcracks, I can feel the temperature of the food that spreads to the teeth

Impression:

The paste does not run off the brush, does not decrease in size on the brush, lathers well, gives a thin, white foam with medium-sized bubbles.

The paste gently cleans the teeth, it does not contain large abrasive particles. When brushing, it envelops the teeth with cleanliness and freshness. Often one portion of the paste is not enough for me, so I add a second one to work out well all the hard-to-reach places.

After brushing, the teeth are very clean, the plaque is removed. If you run your tongue over your teeth, they will be very smooth, like after a professional teeth cleaning at the dentist, when, after all the cleaning procedures, the dentist lowers the nozzle into a special substance and polishes the teeth. Here the effect is similar.

The sensitivity of the teeth gradually decreases. Within a month, I noticed that my teeth stopped reacting sharply to cold-heat. I can safely rinse my mouth with cold water without pain.

After cleansing, the breath is medium fresh, the freshness lasts for about 20 minutes. I would like a longer and brighter freshness, like from mint pastes. Although for those who do not like vigorous mint and menthol, they will like the paste.

I did not notice the effect of the paste on microcracks in the tooth enamel, although hydroxyapatite is supposed to fill them.

Result:

Teeth - clean, fresh, well cleaned of plaque, tactilely smooth.

The sensitivity gradually decreases. It will not happen quickly, but in a month the changes are already being felt.

The teeth are slightly lighter in tone, which is noticeable only to you.

Repeat purchase: Yes

My mark: 10 out of 10 points.

Conclusion: high-quality packaging, good composition, mild but effective cleansing, reduction of tooth sensitivity, high-quality removal of daily plaque. Pasta does not perform miracles, but it makes life more comfortable, you can safely drink cold water, eat hot, the paste does not thin the tooth enamel, which is especially important for teeth with thin, brittle enamel.

Toothpaste PresidentsensitiveRDA25 for Sensitive Teeth is a good option for getting to know hydroxyapatite containing pastes at a reasonable price. For 230 rubles. You will understand whether you like the effect, there will definitely not be any disappointment or regret. Although I have not tried the more expensive pastes yet, I read that some have a similar effect to the Preident paste, I don’t want to try them anymore, I’ll take something more effective.

I want to draw your attention to the fact that not all President pastes contain hydroxyapatite in the composition, only this paste, the composition of other pastes is different.

Here is another noteworthy toothpaste:

Thank you for your time! (・人・)

Remember: "You are beautiful in any single way"! ✿

Why did I indicate this? In order to better evaluate the result of the work of the means, which will be discussed below. People with healthy teeth do not understand the difference when using the following products, although there is a difference, and a significant one. The point is to change the system of approach and the formula of oral hygiene products.

For about five months I have been actively interested in this topic, as for me it has become just a salvation and solution to many of my dental problems.

At first, I actively studied all the information available to my mind about a new element for me - hydroxyapatite. First of all, I found out that:

Hydroxylapatite (hydroxyapatite)- mineral Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 from the apatite group, hydroxyl analogue of fluorapatite and chlorapatite. It is the main mineral component of bones (about 50% of the total bone mass) and teeth (96% in enamel). In medicine, synthetic hydroxyapatite is used as a filler that replaces parts of the lost bone (in traumatology and orthopedics, hand surgery), and as an implant coating that promotes the growth of new bone. In dentistry, hydroxyapatite is used in toothpastes as an element that remineralizes and strengthens tooth enamel.

In short, hydroxyapatite is the main element for the restoration of enamel. And along the way, it becomes a solution to so many problems.

Due to the restoration and smoothness of the enamel, less plaque and harmful bacteria accumulate on the teeth, therefore, the color of the teeth improves, the risk of developing caries and problems with bleeding gums decreases, fresh breath is maintained and, in general, the teeth become more protected and healthy.

Some people mistakenly believe that hydroxyapatite treats existing caries, however, this is a misconception. Tools with this component help prevent caries or help at a very early stage, preventing caries-bearing bacteria from destroying the hard tissues of the tooth. Indeed, the occurrence of dental caries is associated with a local change in pH on the surface of the tooth under plaque due to the fermentation of carbohydrates carried out by microorganisms and the formation of organic acids. Strengthening the hard tissues of the tooth creates obstacles to these bacteria and is the prevention of caries.

For me, the most relevant topic is the removal of sensitivity. Usually, pastes to reduce this kind of problem contain painkillers that block pain syndrome. In the case of pastes with hydroxyapatite, the mechanism of action is completely different. Sensitivity is reduced by repairing enamel damage, that is, by treating rather than masking the pain.

Today I'm going to talk about four toothpastes containing hydroxyapatite that I have been testing in recent months. They came from three different countries. And these are not all the experimental objects that I dealt with, but I will try to tell about the rest separately if the topic is relevant and in demand.

I'll go in order of decreasing price.

Name:

Whitening toothpaste Apagard Premio Toothpaste

Expanded opinion:

Revitalizing toothpastes Apagard and Fallen Japanese company Sangi are based on such a component as medical nanohydroxyapatite ( nano-mHAP®). It is a synthesized active ingredient that is close to natural hydroxyapatite and has a very high compatibility with the human body.

As I understand it, it was in Japan that this component was developed and introduced into dental hygiene products. Nano-mHAP® was developed by Japanese scientists at the end of the 20th century and is recognized effective tool prevention and control of early caries. It is identical in composition to the very substances that make up the enamel and bone of our teeth. Due to its biocompatibility, nano-mHAP is integrated into the enamel structure, replenishing damaged areas. In 1993, nano-mHAP® was approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health as an effective anti-caries agent.

As noted on the label of the toothpaste miniature that ended up in my hands, the particles Nano-mHAP® have a triple effect:

Replenish the lost minerals in places with incipient caries, reduce the likelihood of caries by an average of 46%.

Fill and repair damage to tooth enamel, make enamel strong, smooth and resistant to stains and damage.

Effectively remove plaque and bacteria, ensuring optimal oral hygiene.

The composition of Apagard® Premio pastes, complementing the advantages of nano-hydroxyapatite, also includes:

Cetylpyridinium chloride- an antiseptic, which can be called universal, because both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi of various kinds, viruses show sensitivity to it. The substance easily penetrates into the tissues affected by the inflammatory process due to a small surface tension. The component has a therapeutic effect not only on the surface of the mucous membranes, but also in deeper layers.

Beta-glycyrrhetinic (glycyrrhizic) acid- an active anti-inflammatory agent that reduces mucosal edema and protects periodontal tissues. Glycyrrhizic acid is active against DNA and RNA viruses, including various strains of Herpes simplex, Varicella zoster, human papillomaviruses, cytomegaloviruses.

Pastes of the entire Apagard line do not contain fluorine, fluorides, parabens and artificial colors.

In general, the Japanese did their best to make oral hygiene especially effective and safe.

Premium- the flagship of the line of whitening toothpastes Apagard. Due to the highest content of the main active nano-component, Premio not only whitens teeth, but also restores their crystal structure to the maximum.

The diagram below (which is shown in the Japanese version on different parts of the package, but there was also a Russian-language version on the official website) shows that it is Premio pastes that reach the maximum in several parameters when compared with other representatives of this line (Smokin "and M- Plus).

A little external description.

A blister with a miniature looks very nice, but all the information on it is conveyed in hieroglyphs, in which I am not strong.

Fortunately, on the reverse side there is a Russian-language label with basic concepts and information.

A miniature tube, oddly enough for such a price category, was not initially sealed with foil. I hope full-fledged products still have such protection.

The paste itself is white, quite homogeneous, slightly loose. It is distributed very well over the surface of the teeth, so not much is required for one cleaning session (especially if you need to save consumption). The recommendations indicate a dose of 1.0 - 1.5 cm, but I gained a little less. That was enough for an electric toothbrush.

Brush your teeth for 3 minutes. Swallowing is not recommended.

The paste has a neutral sweetish taste, without particularly bright mint innuendos. I like it. Of course, there is no bright freshness in the mouth after brushing, but thanks to the quality of the paste, breathing is easy and the sensations in the mouth are very comfortable.

Foams well, no bubbles.

As for my personal feelings, I noticed a slight whitening (by about one tone), but a couple of weeks is not enough for a full-fledged result. My dentary bone is not very amenable to intense lightening, so even this effect pleased me. In addition to a lighter tone, thanks to the remineralization of the enamel, the teeth feel very smooth and look shiny. They do not accumulate plaque.

Since the Japanese paste came to me later than everyone else, in fairness, I must say that I approached it in very good condition, since I had used other hydroxyapatite pastes for several months before that. But there has not yet been such a noticeable (to me) brightening effect, although I did not buy whitening pastes.

I am more than satisfied with the result. Teeth remain smooth and clean for a long time. No inflammation, bleeding gums, or tooth sensitivity were noted.

I got the paste in one of the beauty boxes, but I took note of it and, if possible, I will try to purchase either the same miniatures or a full-sized tube.

Price: 300 rubles for a blister of 20 g (as in my review), 1000 rubles for a tube of 50 g and 1550 rubles for a 100 gram tube

Test period: about 15 days (morning/evening)

Grade: 5+ out of 5

Therapeutic and prophylactic toothpastes Biorepair, which have made so much noise here and caused a lot of controversy, are made in Italy by Coswell SPA. Just like the Japanese pastes I mentioned above, Italian products are based on patented nano-particles. microRepair®.

According to the microRepair manufacturer, chemical structure are nano-particles of zinc-substituted hydroxyapatite, as close as possible to the substance that makes up the hard tissues of the tooth (98% enamel and 70% dentin), which allows them to be embedded in these same enamel and dentin.

The microRepair needle particles chemically bind to the hydroxyapatite of the tooth's dentinal tubules (which house sensory nerve endings). This ensures the elimination of sensitivity from the effects of mechanical, chemical and thermal stimuli (cold and hot food).

Depending on the direction of a particular agent, the percentage of particles present varies slightly.

I have already tried 4 representatives of this glorious family. A couple more are on the way. In the meantime, I’ll only talk about two products that started my story of admiration for hydroxyapatite.

Name:

Toothpaste Gum Protection Biorepair Oral Care Gum ProtectionToothpaste

hyaluronic acid, which moisturizes the mucous membrane of the gums and accelerates its regeneration;
witch hazel and spirulina extracts, which strengthen the gums, maintain vascular tone, prevent bleeding;
calendula extract, which has an antibacterial and soothing effect.

Full composition of ingredients:
Aqua, Zinc Hydroxyapatite*, Glycerin, Sorbitol, Silica, Cellulose Gum, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Aroma, Sodium Myristoyl Sarcosinate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Hamamelis Virginiana Leaf Extract, Spirulina Platensis Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Saccharin, Phenoxyethanol , Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Limonene, Eugenol, CI 16255.

RDA (abrasive index): 14.7

Free of fluoride, SLS, parabens, chlorhexidine and alcohol.

According to the manufacturer, Biorepair Gum Protection toothpaste is excellent for daily use, for gingivitis, periodontitis, gum recession and tooth sensitivity, for people who have undergone surgical interventions in the oral cavity (implantation, surgical operations on the periodontium, complex tooth extraction with suturing). That is, for me (with the initial recession of the gums, sensitivity of the teeth and periodic bleeding of the gums), the paste is just right. And I completely agree with this!

Instructions for use of Biorepair Gum Protection toothpaste
Squeeze the required amount of toothpaste onto the toothbrush. Brush your teeth for 2 minutes in a circular motion while gently massaging your gums. After brushing, it is recommended to spit out excess toothpaste and rinse the mouth. a small amount water. Repeat the procedure twice a day.

Personally, I used this paste only in the morning, as I also used a special night paste before bedtime (we will talk about it a little lower). And the result was still great. With a cumulative effect.

Let's move on to the product description.

The cardboard packaging has an interesting design and a lot of information in Italian, both on the tube itself and in the attached paper brochure. The Russian-language label, which occupies the entire reverse side of the package, saves.

The plastic tube has a pleasant tactile sensation, as it is not smooth, but matte. These are purely personal impressions, I like such surfaces more.

The dosing opening is closed with a screw cap with a ribbed side surface, and is initially protected by a special membrane.

Paste of pleasant pink color of a dense dense consistence. The taste is mild, sweetish-herbaceous, and the smell is appropriate.

With regular use, the teeth become smooth, the amount of plaque decreases (and then ceases to accumulate at all), bleeding disappears. After a month and a half of using this paste, you can feel a big difference in the state of the enamel coating compared to pastes of other brands. Cervical tooth sensitivity gradually decreases.

For me, the most critical in terms of increasing the level of pain are the cold months, and that's when I applied this paste. She helped me a lot during the most difficult periods.

I plan to repeat this pasta many times, despite the rather high price.

Price: 500-600 rubles

Test period: about 2 months (in the morning)

Grade: 5 out of 5

Name:

Biorepair Oral Care Intensive Night Repair Toothpaste

Expanded opinion:

Toothpaste Biorepair Intensive Night Repair It is designed to restore enamel during the night, form a protective layer and ensure fresh breath upon waking up. For this, in addition to the main active ingredient - Zinc Hydroxyapatite(which is also in the composition in second place after water), the following effective components have been added:

Component Zinc PCA has an effective antibacterial effect. He removes the cause bad smell providing fresh breath. Effectively fights plaque, tartar and caries, protects teeth from acid erosion.

Component Xylitol(Xylitol) also has a high antibacterial effect. Stimulates the production of saliva and enhances its protective properties, which is especially important for people suffering from dry mouth.

Composition of ingredients:
Aqua, Zinc Hydroxyapatite*, Hydrated Silica, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Silica, Aroma, Cellulose Gum, Xylitol, Zinc PCA, Sodium Myristoyl Sarcosinate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl, Taurate, Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate, Sodium Saccharin, Zinc Citrate, Citric Acid, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate VP Copolymer, Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Limonene.

Composition contains 15% microRepair particles

RDA (abrasive index): 50

Free of fluorine, titanium dioxide, SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate), parabens, chlorhexidine, alcohol and abrasive silica.

For this paste, the outer cardboard packaging was already Russified, so the information was all clear.

The tube is made of the same matte plastic, but already deep of blue color. And now on it all the words are again only in Italian.

The dosing hole was also pre-sealed with a special membrane. The lid is also no different, the same ribbed and unscrewed.

The paste is white, homogeneous, easily distributed over the surface of the teeth.

The smell and taste of the night paste is more minty and invigorating (which is to be expected for breath freshening purposes). When applied, there is even a slight burning sensation, but not too strong.

I can not say that this smell persists until the morning. But the problem of the freshness of my breath is connected not only with the cleanliness of the oral cavity, but also with nasal congestion, and with the state of the stomach. Therefore, I do not count on special lightness in the morning. At least until I have cured all the accompanying points. But I definitely agree that cleanliness and comfort in the mouth upon awakening are preserved. It is very nice.

Due to the bactericidal properties of Zn(PCA) and xylitol, Biorepair night pastes should protect the oral cavity from the formation of tartar.

And, perhaps, the greatest value of these pastes for me personally is precisely in this - in the fight against tartar. Usually, the first rudiments appear for me about a month after a professional cleaning, and after a year they become very noticeable, especially in places of crowding of the teeth, near cervical fillings and in areas of obvious enamel defects.

When I started using night paste, I assumed that the promises of the manufacturers, as usual, would not quite coincide with reality. And I was so wrong!

After a month of daily use of the complex of two pastes, I noticed that the stone began to gradually disappear. Two months later, only 4 foci remained, and even then they were noticeably reduced. Perhaps this pleased me no less than the removal of sensitivity. I have not come across such a result yet.

At the moment, more than three months have passed since the date of professional cleaning, and on all teeth, including the most problematic ones, not even a trace of calculus is noticeable. I am delighted!

I will definitely repeat this one too.

Price: 500-600 rubles (75 ml)

Test period: approximately 2 months (daily at bedtime), then occasionally

Grade: 5 out of 5

After the first successful acquaintance with Biorepair pastes, I added a paste for sensitive teeth and a special remineralizing complex with a kappa for applications for emergency enamel restoration to my list of purchases. And with them came two miniatures of new products, which I still plan to try. I will tell you the results separately if the topic is interesting and relevant.

In the meantime, I turn to the most budget option from my list, which came from Korea.

Name:

Toothpaste for sensitive teeth EQMAXON NAVI Maxon Sirin Doctor Toothpaste

Expanded opinion:

What is wonderful this product of Korean origin?

This hydroxyapatite toothpaste is promised to be effective in removing plaque, restoring enamel smoothness and strengthening teeth.

In addition to the stated hydroxyapatite, the composition contains several more important components:

Lactic acid, which is part of the composition, perfectly reduces bleeding gums, reduces the sensitivity of teeth to cold, sour, hot and sweet.

Erythritol protects against caries and diseases of the oral cavity, perfectly freshens breath.

Full composition of ingredients is:
D-Sorbitol Solution (70%), Tricalcium phosphate, Glycerine, Silicon Dioxide, Polyethylene Glycol 1500, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, Xylitol, Food yellow No.3, L-Menthol, Steviol Glucoside, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Mint Flavor NF-1551, Methyl Parahydroxy Benzoate, Food Red No.40, Erythritol, Ascorbic acid, Tocopherol Acetate, Hydroxyapatite, Moutan Root bark Extract, Mint Flavor NF-1659, Lactic acid Bacteria Fermented Solution, Deionized Water.

The composition is no longer as safe as that of Japanese and Italian pastes. And the substances declared as the main active ingredients are closer to the end of the list. This, apparently, explains the budget funds.

Mode of application:
Not a large number of Apply toothpaste to the toothbrush. Brush your teeth in a circular motion while gently massaging your gums. Use toothpaste daily - morning and evening after meals.

The paste is made in Korea (by E.Q.MAXON Corp.), so the design is not very informative, although it is very colorful. The Russian-language label saves, which, in fact, conveys the most important information.

The dosing hole is initially sealed with a special protective film. It is very important for me. Especially in products such as hygiene products.

The lid with a dosing hole is equipped with a snap-off plug with a convenient step for hooking and tilting. I love this design, as it allows you to close the tube with one hand without dropping either the extruded paste or the brush into the sink.

Paste of pink color, glossy, homogeneous consistency, with a pleasant minty smell and a slightly more intense mint flavor.

Perfectly distributed over the surface of the teeth.

Teeth feel good smoothness during application, but I have seen even more impressive results with Biorepair and Apagard toothpastes. If I only used this paste, without comparison with analogues, then the quality of cleaning and a certain decrease in sensitivity would please me compared to my previous usual options for products, without use of hydroxyapatite. But knowing the best results, this paste didn’t impress me so much.

When my husband tried this paste some time ago, he felt a huge difference in the smoothness of his teeth even after one application. Wherein before At the beginning of testing NAVI, he also brushed his teeth with Korean toothpaste to prevent tartar, but without hydroxyapatite. Now he wants to use NAVI Maxon Sirin Doctor for sensitive teeth, although it does not suffer from this problem, I was very impressed with the quality of cleaning. Recently, my mother also joined the testing of this paste. She uses it at night and is quite pleased with the result.

In this formula, the main ingredient of interest to me is far from being in the first roles, so it may not be as effective for my teeth as the previous options described. However, for the price, Korean paste of large sizes and weighing 120 g is more affordable than other, more professional products with hydroxyapatite and works well too. For those who do not suffer from such problems with tooth enamel, like me, it is quite possible to start with a simpler option.

In my family (in two houses), two tubes of this paste are almost coming to an end, as more people use it. And I will definitely buy it.

Price: 175-200 rubles (for a tube weighing 120 g).

Test period: about 1 month constantly (morning/evening), then from time to time

Grade: 4 out of 5

Summary:

With the advent of hydroxyapatite pastes in my story, it has come to me new era in oral care. Perhaps for those who do not have such problems with their teeth as I do, there is no revolutionary sensation, but there is a certain skepticism. But I do not plan to open discussions on this topic. I'm just sharing my real results of the above products with my real problems of teeth and gums.

As for my preferences when choosing the products that I talked about, if there are significant discounts, I definitely want to buy a full-size tube of Apagard, the Japanese founders of the topic, for a full assessment of the quality of whitening. In the absence of sufficient funds in the family budget, I will buy the Korean version in order to maintain and maintain the general focus of hydroxyapatite therapy. Let little be better than nothing at all! But the "golden mean" (at the moment) for me are Biorepair pastes. With excellent quality of work, they are much cheaper than Japanese counterparts. Plus, in the near future I, apparently, will save on planned (once every six months or a year) professional cleanings.

A big request is not to write harshness and accusations in the comments that are not supported by arguments. Although personally, it was precisely the negative reactions to reviews of Biorepair pastes that awakened my interest in the topic. And now I am completely happy. it my opinion and my a position that, no doubt, may differ from others, but I do not impose it, but simply state the facts.

And one more big request. If you are familiar with any other brands of toothpastes with hydroxyapatite, please share your appearances and passwords! I will be very grateful!

Thanks to everyone who overcame this stream of consciousness to the end and did not lose the main thread))

Fluoride is one of the most important elements responsible for the formation of enamel and maintaining healthy teeth. However, in some regions, the concentration of this substance in drinking water is quite high. Thus, for people living there, a list of toothpastes without fluoride becomes relevant.

Composition features

The list of fluoride-free toothpastes is constantly expanding. Recently, there has been a trend towards the use of natural hygiene products. As for fluorine, its excess is hazardous to health, and therefore in a number of regions (Urals, Siberia, Tambov, Tver and Moscow regions) pastas without this component are especially popular. However, it is not enough to pay attention to the mark Without Fluoride. It is important to carefully study the composition.

Toothpaste must contain calcium. He is responsible for strengthening the enamel. In addition, this substance binds excess fluorine, which is contained in running water. It may be present in the paste as one of the following compounds:

  • calcium glycerophosphate;
  • calcium citrate;
  • calcium hydroxyapatite;
  • calcium pantothenate;
  • calcium lactate.

Close attention to the composition requires toothpastes without fluoride. The names of the funds say less than the components of which they are composed. So, if you want to know 100% that there is no fluoride in the paste, make sure that the following compounds are not in the composition:

  • monofluorophosphate;
  • aluminum fluoride;
  • sodium fluoride;
  • aminofluoride (also known as olaflur);
  • tin fluoride.

Toothpaste "President"

The desire to maintain oral health drives consumers to look for the very best hygiene products. So, toothpaste "President" is one of the best on the market. It is produced by the Italian concern Betafarma SPA. This is a rather expensive remedy, the price of which starts at 200 rubles per 75 ml. The active ingredients in this product are:

  • calcium pantothenate, lactate, glycerophosphate;
  • papain;
  • xylitol.

It is worth noting that this is an excellent calcium toothpaste without fluoride. The first component is contained in it in three compounds at once. At the same time, they are easy to digest. As for papain, it is worth noting that this is an enzyme that dissolves protein. Its main purpose is to remove plaque. Xylitol, in turn, prevents its further formation.

However, pasta also has some disadvantages. So, dentists are confused by the presence of potassium salt in the composition. This component fights tooth enamel sensitivity. Nevertheless, its frequent use is contraindicated, because a decrease in the sensitivity of nerve endings can mask the symptoms of caries and other problems.

Pasta "President" for children

On the market you can find fluoride-free toothpastes, whose names indicate that they are intended for children. So, the Italian concern produces "President Baby". It is characterized by low abrasiveness and a pleasant raspberry flavor. Calcium glycerophosphate perfectly strengthens the enamel of milk teeth. Xylitol is responsible for neutralizing acids, preventing the formation of caries. And due to the fact that the paste does not contain SLS, PEG, parabens and other harmful substances, you can not worry about harm to health if a child accidentally swallows it.

Toothpaste "Splat"

A number of domestic manufacturers produce fluoride-free oral care products. So, toothpaste "Splat" deserves special attention. From the middle price category, the most popular product is Biocalcium, the price of which starts at 120 rubles. The composition of the paste includes hydroxyapatite, polydon, calcium lactate and papain. These substances effectively fight plaque and actively strengthen tooth enamel.

The effectiveness of Biocalcium paste is largely due to the presence of hydroxypatite in its composition. Its structure consists of the smallest particles, which have good penetrating abilities. However, the list of fluoride-free toothpastes from Splat does not end there.

Another popular product of domestic production is "Maximum". In addition to the components present in the previous remedy, there is also zinc citrate and a complex of enzymes. These components give the oral cavity long-lasting freshness and block the growth of bacteria that cause unpleasant odors.

Pasta "Splat" for children

Children's toothpaste without fluoride "Splat Juicy Set" is very popular. Given its effectiveness in terms of strengthening enamel, it is also recommended for adults. The secret of this tool is synthetic hydroxyapatite, which is the most easily digestible calcium compound. It effectively restores the enamel, making it stronger. it is also worth noting the presence in the composition of enzymes, which are entrusted with the function of increasing the immunity of the oral cavity. thus, the likelihood of stomatitis and inflammatory processes is reduced.

Also, fans of the products of this manufacturer will be invited to try the Splat Junior toothpaste, which is designed for babies under 4 years old. Children will certainly enjoy the soft creamy taste with hints of vanilla, but parents should pay attention to the composition. Thus, the enzyme complex prevents the development of inflammatory processes in the child's oral cavity. Aloe gel helps relieve unpleasant symptoms during teething. A pleasant moment is the presence of a silicone brush in the kit, which is put on the finger.

Nevertheless, such a component as calcis causes some misunderstanding. Given that such a compound does not exist, we can say that this is nothing more than a commercial name for one of the common substances. At the same time, without knowing which compound is used in the paste, it is impossible to say with accuracy how it affects the enamel.

Paste without fluorine "Rocks"

Toothpaste "Rocks" is another achievement of the domestic industry. The price of this tool is more than 200 rubles. Having studied the composition, it is worth highlighting such active substances as calcium glycerophosphate, bromelain and xylitol. so, the last component is indispensable in the prevention of caries. It inhibits the growth of microflora and neutralizes acids. Bromelain is responsible for the breakdown of plaque. And, of course, one cannot but mention the huge variety of pasta flavors.

Despite its advantages, Rox toothpaste has also received criticism from dentists. The main claims are put forward to its low abrasiveness. At the same time, its degree on the packaging is not indicated by the manufacturer. Thus, sufficient cleaning of the tooth surface is not ensured. Therefore, it can be judged that the price of the product is too high.

Pasta "Rocks" for children

When considering the best fluoride-free toothpastes, one cannot pass by a product such as Rocks PRO Baby. The tool is intended for babies up to 3 years. It is these age limits that determine the low abrasiveness of the paste. Of course, it is worth noting the absence of any harmful substances, including SLS, parabens, dyes and antiseptics. Thus, it is safe if swallowed. Calcium glycerophosphate actively nourishes the enamel, and xylitol prevents the early formation of caries.

For older children (from 3 to 7 years old), "Rocks kids" paste is produced. Its active components are the same as in the previous case. Nevertheless, the abrasiveness is an order of magnitude higher. It also contains antiseptics. This is a great option to prepare for the formation of molars.

Toothpaste "Asepta"

The list of fluoride-free toothpastes includes another domestic development, Asepta, worth about 130 rubles. The main components of its composition are potassium citrate, hydroxyapatite and papain. This product is recommended to be used only if the problem of tooth sensitivity is relevant for you. Otherwise, there is a risk of masking the symptoms of caries, which could be cured at an early stage.

Pasta "New Pearl"

Toothpaste "New Pearls" belongs to the budget segment. Its cost starts from 30 rubles (depending on the volume of the tube). The main active ingredient is calcium citrate. This element quickly releases ions, which contributes to their rapid penetration into the enamel. However, this tool is nothing more remarkable. This is not surprising, given the low cost of such a domestic product as New Pearl toothpaste.

Paste without fluoride "Paradontax"

Paradontax toothpaste compares favorably with other products in that a significant proportion of its composition falls on plant components. At the same time, the plant complex has proven itself so well that it has remained unchanged for 40 years. So, from natural components it is worth highlighting the following:

  • echinacea - kills bacteria, relieves inflammation, and is also responsible for the formation of oral immunity;
  • myrrh - provides prevention of gum disease and prevents their bleeding;
  • chamomile - helps to reduce sensitivity, and also inhibits inflammatory processes;
  • Ratania - tones gum tissue, making them more elastic and resistant to damage;
  • mint - provides freshness of breath, relieves inflammation, relieves pain;
  • sage - kills germs and strengthens enamel.

Paradontax toothpaste has a specific taste, which is due to the absence of any flavorings and sweeteners in the composition. thus, when brushing the teeth, a salty taste is felt, which at first may seem unpleasant. The paste is not intended for permanent use, as it is addictive.

Is it advisable to use a paste without fluoride?

Despite the fact that fluoride is essential and beneficial for dental health, its excess can lead to the opposite effect. So, children often have such a problem as fluorosis. It manifests itself in the form of white or dark spots on the teeth, as well as irregularities in the enamel. For adults, this problem is irrelevant. Nevertheless, it has been scientifically proven that an excess of fluoride in the body is harmful to all its systems (and especially to the thyroid gland).

Thus, if there is an increased concentration of this substance in the drinking water of your region, toothpaste should be appropriate (if you do not use a filter). However, using fluoride-free toothpaste not out of necessity, but due to the established trend, you risk irreparable damage to tooth enamel, which is as follows:

  • destruction will occur 40% faster;
  • the formation of plaque and calculus;
  • bad breath.

The benefits of fluoride

If your area has a neutral chemical composition of drinking water, or if you use a filter, by all means use a paste with fluoride. This substance has such useful properties:

  • Fluorine strengthens enamel, making it more resistant to harmful acids. This is due to the fact that penetrating into the tooth tissue, it forms the compound fluorapatite. It is the most resistant to cariogenic microorganisms.
  • Fluorine is the strongest antiseptic. It inhibits the process of reproduction of bacteria and microbes in the oral cavity. Thus, plaque will form much more slowly. As a result, breath freshness will last much longer.
  • Fluorine takes an active part in the process of formation of molars. thus, children after 5 years simply need to, one way or another, saturate tooth enamel with this substance.
  • Fluoride retains calcium in bone tissue. Thus, tooth enamel becomes stronger and less prone to carious destruction.

Conclusion

On the shelves of stores you can find a lot of toothpastes marked "Safe composition" or "Without fluorine". In the first case, we are talking about a marketing move, and in the second - about the regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Health. The chemical composition of drinking water in some regions makes it necessary to adjust the formula of hygiene products. However, when buying fluoride-free toothpaste, you need to be sure that it really poses a danger to your health. Otherwise, you deprive your tooth enamel of the necessary nutrition and protection.

From this article you will learn:

  • how to choose the right toothpaste,
  • best toothpaste without fluoride - list, rating 2019,
  • in which regions of Russia the content of fluorine in drinking water is increased.

Fluorine is a chemical element of the halogen group, which is a strong oxidizing agent. In addition, fluorine can exhibit toxicity, but only when its maximum permissible concentration in the body is exceeded. The latter is possible only in cases where there is an excess of concentration (over 1.0 mg / liter), or if you eat 1 almost full tube of toothpaste per day. Fluorine helps to strengthen tooth enamel and bones (it is in the bones that 95% of the total fluorine in the body is contained).

Fluoride-free toothpastes are only relevant in regions with high levels of fluoride in drinking water. As we said above, the concentration of fluorine is considered elevated if it contains more than 1.0 mg per 1 liter of water. In 21 regions of Russia (due to natural causes or the presence of factories for the production of glass, aluminum, fertilizers) - the concentration of fluorine in drinking water is indeed increased. At the link above you can find statistics on the content of fluorine in water for various regions of Russia.

Interesting fact -
however, if you use household filters for water purification, then you definitely should not worry, because. carbon and osmotic filters remove about 80-84% of fluorine from water. At the same time, an excess of fluorine can cause dental fluorosis exclusively in children and only at the age of 0 to 6-7 years (especially critical period - from 0 to 2 years), because. it is during this period that the laying and development of the rudiments of teeth takes place. Thus, only young children should be concerned about excess fluoride.

The best fluoride-free pasta: composition

Rejection of fluoride toothpaste causes a problem that needs to be compensated somehow. The fact is that fluorine makes the low-mineralized enamel of children's teeth more resistant to cariogenic bacteria of the oral cavity, i.e. protects teeth from decay. Therefore, in the absence of fluoride, toothpaste should contain some other components that protect teeth from caries. And this can be done - calcium compounds and xylitol.

High-quality calcium compounds in toothpastes -

  • calcium glycerophosphate,
  • calcium lactate,
  • calcium pantothenate,
  • calcium citrate,
  • synthetic hydroxyapatite.

Some manufacturers use a combination of several calcium compounds in toothpaste at once. The addition of xylitol (xylitol) allows you to neutralize lactic acid, which is produced by cariogenic bacteria and destroys teeth. Manufacturers also often introduce various extracts into the composition of fluoride-free pastes. medicinal plants that have an anti-inflammatory effect.

Of particular interest is the presence in some children's pastes of a complex of lactic ferments (lactoferrin, lactoperoxidase, lysozyme and glucose oxidase), which help protect the oral mucosa from the development of stomatitis and thrush.

What fluorine compounds should not be –
at the same time, fluorine compounds, such as sodium monofluorophosphate, sodium fluoride, aminofluoride (synonymous with olaflur), aluminum fluoride or tin fluoride, should not be present in the toothpaste. It is these compounds that are most often used by manufacturers of toothpastes.

Toothpastes without fluoride: rating 2019

Looking ahead, we will immediately say that the leadership in the ranking is the best toothpaste without fluorine (in the categories for both adults and children) - we gave it to the pastes of the Italian brand "PRESIDENT". Upon careful analysis of the composition, it turned out that these pastes have the best composition and, at the same time, are quite affordable. However, there are also some interesting Russian-made pastes ...

Comments: President Unique toothpaste has the best composition of all calcium-containing toothpastes (it contains 3 easily digestible forms of calcium at once), as well as the highest concentration of calcium - compared to all other similar pastes. Papain enzyme - dissolves the protein matrix of plaque, facilitating its removal with abrasive substances. The xytitol contained in the paste slows down the rate of plaque formation and helps to neutralize the acidic environment in the oral cavity. The paste is intended for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.

2. Toothpaste SPLAT "Biocalcium" -

Comments: Splat toothpaste contains highly active forms of calcium - calcium lactate and hydroxyapatite, which is a very good composition at a very affordable price. In our opinion, this paste deservedly took the second place in our rating, ahead of the pastes of some other manufacturers such as R.O.C.S.

Comments: the paste contains easily digestible calcium in the form of ultrafine hydroxyapatite, components that loosen and help remove pigment plaque (papain and polydon), zinc citrate for long-term preservation of freshness in the oral cavity and blocking the appearance of an unpleasant odor. Lactic enzymes lactoferrin and lactoperoxidase increase local immunity of the oral mucosa, thereby reducing the risk of developing the oral cavity and herpetic stomatitis. In general, this is a very worthy composition, a large amount of paste in a tube and an affordable price for such a volume.

4. Toothpaste ASEPTA PLUS Remineralization "-

Comments: Asepta PLUS Remineralization toothpaste contains a highly effective form of calcium - hydroxyapatite. The content of papain facilitates the removal of microbial and pigment plaque. Xylitol has a cariesstatic effect, because. neutralizes the acid produced by cariogenic bacteria in the oral cavity.

Potassium citrate - reduces the sensitivity of the teeth, and therefore is able to mask the symptoms of developing caries, which may not be very good with prolonged use. The latter circumstance can harm the early detection of caries and the beginning of its treatment in the early stages, when tooth decay is not so great. In general, a very good composition at, again, a democratic price.

Comments: Rocks toothpaste contains only 1 form of calcium - calcium glycerophosphate. The total calcium concentration in this paste is significantly lower than that of President Unique paste (see above). Contains xylitol, which has a caries-preventive effect, inhibiting the growth rate of cariogenic microflora and helps to neutralize the acidic environment in the oral cavity.

The composition is not bad, but there is nothing remarkable - in comparison with the pastes above. Plus, the price is too high for such a composition, given the small volume of the tube. It should be noted that the Rocks company produces a lot of toothpastes with the same composition and different names. There are other calcium pastes in their line, but they are exactly the same and contain the same glycerophosphate in a small concentration (site).

Comments: we must pay tribute to the manufacturer - earlier calcium glycerophosphate was used in the production of this paste, now calcium lactate is used. The last component quickly dissociates into ions, releasing active calcium, but this paste does not contain anything else of interest. In addition, a fairly cheap abrasive, calcium carbonate, was used in the paste.

On its website, the manufacturer also positions it as a source of calcium, but in fact, calcium carbonate is an insoluble salt that is not able to dissociate into ions with the release of active calcium. Calcium carbonate can often be found in inexpensive pastes as an abrasive.

Toothpaste without fluoride for children -

Enamel of children's teeth after their eruption contains very little calcium, i.e. is low mineralized. Such porous enamel is very vulnerable to the effects of cariogenic bacteria in the oral cavity, and therefore children's teeth are especially quickly affected by caries. Toothpastes with fluoride protect teeth well from caries, but if you need to choose a toothpaste without fluoride, the latter must contain calcium.

The best calcium compounds in children's toothpastes are calcium lactate, calcium glycerophosphate, calcium pantothenate (as well as synthetic hydroxyapatite). These compounds quickly dissociate into ions with the release of active calcium, which is able to penetrate into tooth enamel, strengthening it. The second most important component of fluoride-free toothpastes is xylitol/xylitol, which neutralizes the acid produced by cariogenic bacteria and therefore has a powerful anti-caries effect.

In the ranking of fluoride-free toothpastes for children, in our opinion, the undisputed leader is the PRESIDENT line of Italian toothpastes. As you will see below, these pastes have an excellent composition and a very reasonable price. Also, in our opinion, SPLAT pastes are very interesting - due to the content of a complex of lactic ferments that protect the mucous membrane from stomatitis and thrush.

Below we will present the 4 best, in our opinion, toothpastes for children without fluoride - for the age categories from 0 to 3 years, from 3 to 6 years, and also from 6 to 12 years.

Comments: this is the best fluoride-free children's paste that you can buy in Russian pharmacies (made in Italy), which is designed to care for milk teeth. The paste has an abrasiveness that is optimal for children from 0 to 3 years old, as well as a pleasant taste of caramel. Contains a high concentration of calcium - in the form of 3 easily digestible calcium compounds, due to which the teeth are strengthened.

Due to the presence of xylitol, the paste has an anti-caries effect. Xylitol neutralizes acids in the mouth and reduces the rate of plaque formation. Pastes that contain xylitol (in addition to the rest of the active ingredients) are the best option for children, because. in its presence, the rate of growth of new foci of caries is significantly reduced. The paste contains anti-inflammatory ingredients to reduce discomfort during teething.

2. Toothpaste SPLAT Baby "apple-banana" (from 0 to 3 years) -

Comments: toothpaste for children from 0 to 3 years old with an apple-banana flavor. Contains a highly effective form of calcium - hydroxyapatite. An unconditional plus of this paste is that it contains a complex of lactic enzymes, which increases the local immunity of the oral mucosa, which will prevent the development of the oral cavity as well.

Also, this paste contains a large amount of plant extracts and L-arginine, which reduce inflammation of the mucous membrane during teething. The paste is completely safe for accidental swallowing. A silicone brush-finger is included with the paste. In general, this is a very worthy toothpaste, which also solves the issue of preventing stomatitis and fungal infections of the oral cavity in children.

Comments: Paste PRESIDENT Kids from 3 to 6 years - contains 3 easily digestible forms of calcium, which will well strengthen the low-mineralized enamel of children's teeth, as well as a high dosage of xylitol, which has a high anti-caries effect. Pasta is available in 2 versions - with strawberry or marmalade flavors. It has the right abrasiveness, and what is very important - not overpriced.

Comments : Strawberry flavored PRESIDENT Kids 6 to 12 years old paste also contains 3 easily digestible forms of calcium, a high dose of xylitol, and plant extracts. Has the correct abrasiveness for this age - RDA 50, and good price. It must be said that the entire line of PRESIDENT toothpastes without fluoride (for both children and adults) is the best for 2019 both in terms of price and composition of components.

Popular children's pastes that were not included in the rating -

Below we will analyze the composition of several very popular children's toothpastes, which for one reason or another were not included in our rating.

5. Children's tooth gel with calendula "Weleda" from 0 to 3 years -

Comments : Weleda baby tooth gel has strong anti-inflammatory properties due to the content of essential oils and alginate (seaweed extract), which makes it a good choice for relieving discomfort during teething. The gel is safe to swallow, but as for everything else, we cannot recommend it for regular hygiene.

The fact is that this gel does not contain not only fluorine, but even calcium. Thus, the paste will not strengthen the low-mineralized enamel of children's teeth and protect them from caries. Gel Weleda is more suitable, in our opinion, for oral hygiene in the youngest children who have not yet erupted teeth (at this age it is also necessary to clean the child's mouth and gums).

Comments : Toothpaste is intended for oral care of children aged 0 to 3 years. The paste contains a high dosage of xylitol, which effectively neutralizes the acid produced by cariogenic bacteria in the mouth. As a result, the paste has a good cariesstatic effect. Chamomile extract and alginate (the latter is produced from seaweed) - have a slight anti-inflammatory effect during teething.

But also, like the previous Weleda gel, we cannot recommend this paste (and its similar variants - with extracts not of chamomile, but of quince or linden) - for regular oral hygiene. The paste has too little abrasiveness and will be too bad at removing plaque. The normal abrasiveness of pastes for children of this age is RDA 30. In addition, the paste, again, does not contain either fluorine or calcium, and therefore will not help strengthen low-mineralized children's tooth enamel.

A noticeable minus is the too high price of this Russian pasta, which is more expensive than all imported pastes with a richer and more interesting composition. We believe that the paste is suitable only for oral hygiene of babies - even before the eruption of the first teeth.

First, let's figure out what is hydroxyapatite?

Hydroxyapatite is the main component of bone tissue and hard tissues of the tooth. Tooth enamel is 97% of this mineral, and dentin is 70%.

In our body, by volume, the most water, collagen and - yes, yes! - hydroxyapatite.

In 1970 a Japanese company Sangi, having received a patent from NASA, has developed an artificially synthesized analogue of natural hydroxyapatite. Toothpaste with medical nano-hydroxyapatite went on sale in the 80s of the last century and proved to be excellent. After a series of tests, medical nano-hydroxyapatite has been recognized in Japan as an anti-caries agent. In the 2000s, this miracle continued to be improved, achieving even smaller nanoparticles. Until now, Sangi is the largest producer of hydroxyapatite in the world.

As part of toothpaste, nano-hydroxyapatite does the following:

  • Replenishes lost minerals, remineralizing areas under the enamel that are prone to caries.
  • Treats caries in the "white spot" stage: With regular cleaning, these spots simply disappear.
  • Restores the smoothness and structure of tooth enamel, filling microcracks, damage, fissures, sealing open dentin - the enamel becomes smooth and shiny.
  • Noticeable and fast reduces tooth sensitivity.
  • Promotes even more effective plaque removal: Hydroxyapatite actually adheres to bacteria and plaque particles - tooth enamel looks lighter.

They are, of course, more expensive than the usual pasta from the supermarket. However, they are many times more economical: you need a tiny pea for cleaning - often such pastes do not need to be washed off(just spit foam and that's it).

There is a fairly wide selection of hydroxyapatite toothpastes on the market today. I will list the ones I am familiar with.

APADENT

This is the toothpaste of the same Japanese company Sangi. One of the market leaders.

There is a separate pasta for children.

Toothpaste for adults costs about 2300 rubles.

THEODENT TOOTH PASTES FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN

MIRADENT MIRASENSITIVE HAP

Toothpaste with hydroxyapatite made in Germany. I love it for the price! 🙂 Approximately 600 rubles. In all other respects it is not inferior to competitors: heals, reduces sensitivity, brightens.

MIRADENT TOOTHPASTE FOR SENSITIVE TEETH

CURAPROX BE YOU.

Brand new pasta from a well-known Swiss manufacturer! You can buy one tube for all - the paste is allowed for children from 5 years old. The company tried to come up with the perfect toothpaste: not just take care of your teeth, but also give pleasure with the help of flavors that are amazing for toothpastes.

Six interesting combinations:

  • grapefruit + bergamot
  • persimmon + juniper
  • peach + apricot
  • blackberry + licorice
  • apple + aloe
  • watermelon (the kids will definitely appreciate this one!)

Pasta costs about 2700 rubles.

BE YOU TOOTH PASTES. FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

On August 30, I did a new lampless whitening Zoom Quick Pro. This is when a special composition is applied to the teeth with the same high percentage of hydrogen peroxide as with lamp whitening, but the lamp does not shine. There is no pain, so this whitening is recommended for anyone who has sensitive teeth.

After that, I thought, how now to maintain all this beauty? I dug up about the pastes, bought them and have been using them for almost a month now.

Result:

  • White teeth.
  • By evening, the enamel remains smooth, as if it had just been cleaned.
  • Sensitivity to hot, cold and sweet subsided after about 14 days. This, I tell you, is a miracle - to chew on a candy and understand that your eyes do not twitch.

Economical they are beyond words. I think these four pastes will be enough for me for a year. Children also enjoy. The elder directly asks him to clean. So I recommend!
