First, let's prepare the necessary materials:

The size of the inner box is 7.5 * 5.5 * 4 cm. A box of such wave sizes can be cut out on an A4 sheet.

I printed the template on the printer. If necessary, templates of other sizes can be made by analogy with this one.

So, we printed 3 blanks for inner boxes.

In order to rationally use the space on paper, I printed my business cards on it :).

Now carefully cut out the templates and crease along the fold lines. These are the "cranes" obtained in the end.

Now let's start gluing. We put the “crane” with the front wall of the future box - on it I cut out a semicircle with a curly hole punch, although in general, this is not at all necessary.

We glue the folds at the sides of the box and glue them together.

Then we glue the folds of the front side of the box. We collect the whole box.

The box is ready.

Now we take a ribbon 1-1.5 cm wide, suitable in color to scrap paper and fabric. Cut three pieces about 5 cm long and bend them in half.

It is necessary to prepare as many ribbons as you will have inner boxes.

We make loops for convenient opening of the inner box.

Please note that there is a double fold on the lid of the box - this is a "secret" valve. Lubricate the valve with glue and insert our loop into it.

We clamp the valve with a clerical clamp until completely dry.

We do the whole sequence of actions with the two remaining boxes.

While all the boxes are drying, decorate the lids.

I used a chipboard with the names of things that will be in boxes and scrub paper.

We line up the finished inner boxes in the way they will lie in the main box. It turned out like this:

Now let's move on to making the main box. We take measurements of the bottom.

To do this, we take the size of the boxes folded together and add the thickness of the used beer (binding) cardboard * 2. In this way, we measure the length and width of the bottom.

I got 18 * 8.2 cm. Let's remember these measurements and we will continue to work on them. Cut off a piece of cardboard of the right size to make the bottom of the main box.

For the walls, we cut out rectangles 5 cm high (the height of small boxes is 4 cm + 1 cm indent), and we find the width from the dimensions of the bottom minus one cardboard thickness.

I draw your attention to the fact that you can also cut out the details without subtracting anything, and then fit them in place in size.

Here are the details:

I don't glue the big box inside with anything, so I use beer cardboard for it - it's white and has a uniform structure. Its disadvantage is that it is too loose. Therefore, for cutting, you need to use a very sharp clerical knife. If you still get notches, then you can later hide them under scrap paper.

We begin to glue the main box. To do this, take the bottom part, two side walls and form an angle.

Consistently, adjusting the dimensions of the walls, glue the remaining sides. This is how the main box turned out.

Corners, for reliability, can additionally be glued with masking tape or strips of thin paper. Let's try on the main box and the inner small ones.

Let's start cutting scrap paper for gluing the main box. At the same time, we observe the following basic principles: leave allowances of 1 cm on each side, 1.5 cm on top and bottom, and pay attention to the location of the pattern on paper.

I got two strips of paper. I glue the first strip.

We first glue the paper on the sides.

From above, we bend the allowances inside the main box. Same thing with the allowances at the bottom of the box.

Now we begin to glue the second strip of paper, but we no longer make allowances in the corners, but glue it in a joint. Remember drawing on paper.

Cut off the excess and bend the allowances as last time. This is how the box turned out.

Now we take on the "cover" of our box of Mom's treasures - she, as it were, "embraces" her.

We cut out three rectangles from thick cardboard and glue them with any “insulation”, but I used foam rubber. It can also be a synthetic winterizer.

The size of the rectangles for the bottom and lid of the box is found from the size of the bottom of our main box + 0.5 cm on the short sides and + 0.5 cm on one long side.

My dimensions are the following details: bottom and lid 19 * 8.7 cm, side part 19 * 5 cm.

We lay out the details on the fabric, leaving a gap of 0.7 cm between them, add 2-3 cm around the perimeter and get the required size of the flap. Be sure to pay attention to the pattern of the fabric.

The fabric must first be ironed.

We glue the fabric to our blanks. First, the long sides, pulling them evenly.

And then short, neatly forming corners.

We try on the resulting "cover" on the main box.

The box has been completed. We proceed to decorate the front part and sew on the ribbon.

I leave the glued elements for later. We pull out the threads on the wrong side. We cut off a small piece of fabric about 4-5 cm wide, equal to the length of our box (19 cm), bend it at a distance of 1.5 cm from the edges.
